A graphic designer by profession and artist by heart, Sara Lacuesta Calvo has always been very restless. That unsettle energy is what took her to London in 2005 after working for years in Spain as the creative director for national and international editorial magazines. As she felt that an enclosed space was not her element. She felt in love with the multicultural and artistic atmosphere breathed in the city and started to experiment in different creative disciplines. She “hung her mouse” and went onto travelling across South East Asia, a trip that left her touched and made her rekindle with photography, a passion started in her teens, to use it as the voice of the unheard ones but also as her own expression.
Showing a special interest on social, geopolitical and environmental issues, reportage and portraiture photography became her love-affair and passion, taking also into personal projects to depict these issues but also daily life human experiences using conceptualism and humor.
