According to the Family Violence Prevention Fund (FVPF) ONE in every THREE women in the world has experienced sexual, physical, emotional or other form of abuse in their lifetime.

This is not just a women's problem, as it occurs in all social stratus, rich and poor and it can end in death at the hands of their partner, In fact, 50% of the world's homicides against women are for this reason. We, male and female, need to make a stand to break this pattern of abuse. Through harsher laws to support them, compassionate education in the family environment, but also showing the victims they are not alone and erase the social stigma they suffer, even in their own environment.

My intention is transform these victims into fighters. The metaphor of the rain alludes to the cleansing and the start of a new chapter and not dwell on it, leave the past behind and look forward. This is an ongoing project showing the strength of women from different cultures and countries with this unfortunate common ground of violence; they have made a stand and said ENOUGH, taking the road to recovery for a better life or at least one with no violence. This is my tribute to them.
